Michigan Apples are Back!

There’s nothing better than the crisp, snap when taking your first bite of a Michigan Apple!  We have some delicious Paula Reds and Gingergolds to start out the 2011 season!  The weather has been a slight challenge as of late but they are still coming along…U-pick will not start until after Labor Day, please stay tuned for more details!  We still have Red Haven Peaches, sweet corn, Tons of zucchini and squash, green peppers, pickles, pears, melon, green beans, and tomatoes are slowly coming in….Please Call or send us an email for any further info with what’s happening on the farm!  We love to hear from you!!!

Canning Peaches are here!  Call us today to place your order!  Whip up a batch of fresh salsa with some farm fresh tomatoes, green peppers and onions!  Have you tried Patty Pan or Eight Ball Squash?  A great recipe for Eight ball…halve the squash, cover with spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese, bake in the oven!  Are you hungry yet?!

Life is just Peachy on the farm!

Peaches are here!  Well, eating peaches that is and they are m’m good!  We hope to have canning peaches sometime next week but stop in and grab a few for eating just to tide ya over!  Other good to eats that are ready, sweet corn, zucchini, and summer squash!  New to the farm this year is eight-ball squash…cut it in half cover with spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese, bake it in the oven…Yum!  Hungry yet?!

Sweet corn!!

Michigan sweet corn is finally here!  Perfect weather for grilling and what better to go with any meal that delicious corn on the cob!!  We also have some yummy blueberries, so good you’ll eat by the handful!  And don’t forget about pickles!  We have great, quick and easy pickle mixes available, just clean and slice your pickles , add the mix and have fresh pickles in 3-5 days!

Blueberries!!

Blueberries are finally here!  Doesn’t a blueberry pancake sound delicious?!  Stop out today to pick up some fresh blueberries and you will be ready for a great breakfast for the family on Saturday!  Heading to the beach to cool off?  Take fresh fruit for a good natural sugar, blueberries and raspberries make a great snack!  We are a great stop between here and Grand Haven…grab a strawberry lemonade or blue raspberry slushy or an ice cream cone to keep you cool on the ride out!  Hope to see you soon!

Cool off at the farm with a ice-cold slushy, blue raspberry and strawberry lemonade, or an ice cream cone!  Cherries are nearing the end…just $1/lb for u-pick and $1.50/lb for already picked!  We still have raspberries as well…Just in, lil red potatoes, onions, summer squash, cucumbers and zucchini!

Going, Going, Gone:(

Saturday will be our last day for u-pick strawberries!  Cherries are looking good still!  Stop out for u-pick tomorrow from 8-2.  We have some more fresh fruits and veggies available now…lil red potatoes, cucumbers, onions, zuchini, summer squash, raspberries, cabbage and tomatoes!  Stay cool, summer is here and we hope to see you soon!

Just in time for the Fourth of July…CHERRIES!  They are delicious!  Brighten up your home with some gorgeous fresh peonies!  We are open for U-pick from 4-6…weather permitting of course?!  Hopefully, the rain is done and it will be a wonderful weekend!  Stop in on your way out of town!

The final countdown is on for the Fourth of July! This may be Friday for a lucky few of you…stop by before you leave town, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, and the healthy food group, donuts!
